“Things aren’t what they used to be. When you were a teenager, you could just apply for a job at a local shop, get it, and be fine. Even if you didn’t get the job, you wouldn’t have to worry too much because you had your parents as a buffer. You didn’t need to worry about paying bills or whether you make enough money.
Those days are long gone, though. Once you get into your mid to late twenties, all bets are off. You must hunker down and get a real job; a career even. Unfortunately, it isn’t as easy as walking to your local hardware store and picking up an application. If you are looking for a real career, one that you foresee staying at for many years to come, then the act of finding said job takes a lot more effort.
