A deed of trust buyer is an individual or company that buys deeds of trust from people or companies that are currently holding the deed of trust. The most common situation where you will find a deed of trust buyer is when you are holding a deed of trust and want to sell it. For instance, you may have property that you sell to an individual.
The individual doesn’t want to go through a bank or lending institution so the two of you work out a transaction together. Both of you sign loan agreements; have them notarized and the buyer makes payments to you. You become the holder of the deed of trust until the loan is paid in full.
